Hi,
in Power BI I need to calculate an average of values by quarter (I have the column for quarter numbers). So I need to take the values for each quarter and calculate an average for these.
Example of what I need:
value | quarter | avgByQuarter |
0.5 | 1 | 0.75 |
1 | 1 | 0.75 |
-2 | 2 | -2 |
0 | 2 | -2 |
-1 | 3 | -0.25 |
0.5 | 3 | -0.25 |
Thank you so much for the help!
Hi @thlavackova
Are all columns coming from the same table or do you have a data model with multiple tables? Are lookig for a calculated column or a measure?
Hi @thlavackova ,
I think below can solve your issue, create a measure of Avg as below ,
Avg = AVERAGE(table1'[value])
And then drag this in your table and check if it works.
