Export to PDF for non-certified visuals

Currently export to PDF is only available for a certified custom visual. We have developed a number of custom visual for our Organizational Marketplace but the custom visuals do not appear when exporting reports to PDF.

Are you planning to implement this feature?

@Boxmodern I believe Power BI has come out with a new File Download API that let's a developer handle this. You can have a look over here.

Hi @shannnonpereira. Unfortunately this does not solve the problem and only allows you to export the underlying data. When we export to PDF the custom visuals are replaced with an error message:

@Boxmodern Did you add the necessary privileges in capabilities.json? Privileges just got introduced in version 4.7.0

Advocate IV

@shannnonpereiraAs far as I am aware privileges only allows you to download the visuals data to an external file and does not influence exporting to pdf or PowerPoint (image). To export to PDF or PowerPoint (image) the custom visual needs to be Microsoft certified.
