Default selected year, quarter, month, date from date hierarchy

As a setting on slicers with a date hierarchy the report developers should be able to select a default year, quarter, month or date to be selected, e.g. the current/previous/coming year, current, quarter, etc. 

This would help developers having to create creative and unsustainable workarounds all the time. 

I know there is the relative date time, but if you on the same report want to be able to shift between various periods, then this will not work.
