how can I turn a layout for my facility into a map to use as a visual for equipment location?

I would like to take a layout of my facility test cells and build areas and make it into a map that I could use with the Map visual to show where my equipment is located in the facility.

As far as I know, Power BI native visuals don't support custom layouts.

However, there're csuto visuals that might help you with showing csutom SVG layouts as maps:

• Synoptic Panel by OKViz
• Drilldown Choropleth
• Drilldown Cartogram
• Infographic Designer

Thanks for those links.

It's been 2.5 years. Are those links still the best solutions?

I tried using the synoptic solution, but it's clunky. I can't save and edit layouts which is a major problem for change control in any business.

Native custom layout visuals would be useful for any facility. If it isn't, it really should be a focus for development.
