Use of existing conditional formatting

I would like to provide conditional formatting to a custom visual that I am working on. May I now if it is possible to use the conditional formatting option that is already implemented in Microsoft-developed out-of-the-box control such as this so that there is no need to reinvent this?

I am afraid that this option is unavailable for custom visuals for a while.
