Timeline 2.1.1 has a bug

The custom visual "Timeline 2.1.1" (the one I'm using to filter a table visual) picks the date field and not the auto hierarchy as built-in slicers do. 

Take a look at the two imagens below which explain easily what is happening.

The Power BI slicer automatically picks the autohierarchy and filters the table visual but Timeline 2.1.1 does not and so it doesn't filter tha table:

I tried to add the autohierarchy to the Timeline 2.1.1 visual, but it just adds the year, and when I try to filter the table visual with the autohierarchy year added still it soesn't filters the table.

Let me know if I'm doing something wrong or if in facts is a bug.
