There's currently no way to remove the number in parentheses in a donut chart when using the default tooltip. Chat GPT suggests to change the tooltip text format which would be a great feature but currently is not available for a donut chart. Please add it, since this creates confusion when trying to show the data in % and the donut % also shows in parenthese. See example below:
It is the wright chart for the data it was just not the best example since there's a discrepancy in the data entry, it should add up to 100%. Here's another example:
You can influence the contents of the data label.
I know but that doesn't change the tooltip. I've tried everything. The default tooltip just doesn't have settings like other visuals.

The donut chart is the wrong chart type for whatever story you are trying to tell. Use a more appropriate chart type.
