long time no answer, but I try to give you some thoughts from my side 🙂
This sounds like a rendering or data binding issue with the Mekko chart visual after an update. Here what you can try:
Immediate fixes:
Clear cache: Close Power BI Desktop, navigate to %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Power BI Desktop\ and delete the cache folders, then restart
Update the visual: Remove the Mekko chart, then get the latest version from AppSource or import the latest .pbiviz file
Check data types: Verify your Y-Axis and Width fields are numeric (not text). Sometimes updates cause implicit conversions to fail
Recreate field assignments: Remove all fields from the visual wells and re-add them one by one to see where it breaks
Test with simple data: Create a new page with a simple table and the Mekko chart to isolate if it's a data issue
For the slicer issue:
- Verify the date field in your slicer is related to the tables used in the Mekko chart
- Check "Edit interactions" to ensure the slicer isn't set to "None" for the Mekko visual
- Try using a different date slicer to rule out slicer-specific issues
If nothing works:
Downgrade to the previous Mekko chart version or report the bug to the visual developer through AppSource reviews.
