Marimekko Chart: Bars Become Extremely Thin When Too Many Categories Are Present

The Marimekko chart is showing extremely thin bars because it must display every category, and with hundreds of mills/companies the chart divides the width into tiny segments. It hides behind the broad bars which led to deep grey bars. I've attached a snip for reference. Any help or recommended approaches would be greatly appreciated!

@JhanviKhurana Hi!
If you want to keep all the categories and display the full visual, my advice is to customize the Power BI canvas size by making it wider, so the entire visual can be seen.

Hi @JhanviKhurana  you are getting this because of you have too many items in the categories. Here, are some workaround to fix this issue.

  • Filter your data to show only the top 10 categories
  • Group smaller categories into an "Other" bucket
  • Use a slicer to let users explore the data interactively
