How to make Filter Visualization to show last month?

Hello!

Tell me please how to make usual filter vizualization to show the last date in the period?

I know that I can make it like this

 

But this way is not apropriate when you have a list of months not days and don't want to show the duration always

I know about this way

But it works strangely and also you can't choose the other month or choose a few

Is it possiple to make the standart filter work automatically? Always showing las month?
