ESTIMATED REPLACEMENT COST OF AN ASSET OVER 10 YEARS

My table shows the replacement year of an asset and I want to create a chart that forecasts the cost of replacing an asset over the next 10 years. so from 2022 t0 2033. I have calculated the replacement year using the remaining life of my asset but some years within my 2022 - 2033 range would not fall into my field as there would be no expected replacement at that time. How do i still show these years on my column chart. X axis should show 2022 -2033 and y axis should show the replacement cost. sample chart below but with the y axis showing replacement cost. my table is missing some years because there is no expected asset replacement from the calculation but i need to still see the year on the chart with 0 replacement cost and 0 asset. how do i do this on power bi? or do i need to manipulate my table to do this ? If i do then how?

Thank you in advance

  • In Power Query right click on the column header for [UNITCOST] and select "Replace Values".  Replace whatever you have there (null or empty string) with 0.
