Chiclet Slicer / Themes

Hello All,

I'm using the Chiclet Slicer in my report, but it doesn't seem to be picking up on my Theme. The color selector reflects the theme palette, but whatever I select, it seems to only use the PowerBI default theme.  Anyone else seeing this behaviour? Any fix?

Thanks

Travis

I see. You used the preloaded theme.

Hello @a68tbird,

How did you specify a theme? Can you share a file?

Hello Ignat,

I simply used the Switch Themes button in the menu ribbon. As you can see in my screenshot, I selected a grey color for the Selected Color, but the canvas uses the PowerBI default color that would be in that position, which is a yellow color.  The theme palette changes with each Theme I select, but the color selection doesn't seem to pick up on the new colors. I've attached a PBIX file here of just a simple calendar table - I honestly don't know if this would save the themes that I have downloaded or not, so you may have to load your own themes in to test.

I can reproduce the issue as well. In general it looks like Power BI Dekstop bug.

Can you share theme file as well?

OK, this is odd. I was about to attach the theme that I was using, but I couldn't find that JSON file. In fact, all of the ones that appear in my desktop dropdown menu, don't seem to have a corresponding JSON file.  Although, these themes do work on other visuals. I tried a simple table, and was able to change the colors according to any one of these themes.  I was also able to change the chiclet slicer colors if I imported a custom theme JSON file.  So it seems that these pre-loaded themes don't work on the chiclet slicer.

I have the same problem with theme, which I imported.

Previously everything was fine. It looks like this problem has appeared again with a new January version.

I checked Februar version and Chiclet Slicer works with themes fine there.

There is only one moment.

If it uses default colors they will not be changed (looks like some moment that should be fixed in visual).

But if non-default colors were chosen theme changing will work as awaited.
