Charts with different color palette

To All, gdday.

I received a challenge yesterday and your support will be much appreciated.

Let me explain the scenario: in a report, we have 10 curves to analyse. Usually, the multiple selection goes up to 3, max 4 curves. These are presented in two charts. The first one is a Line Chart for the montlhy perspective. The second, a Clustered Column Chart to present the total Y2D.

What's the tricky part: if I select 2 curves to analyse, in the Line Chart the color identified are, for example, red and green. For the Clustered Column Chart, it appears Blue for both. The way that I managed to ensure same color is to select manually in this second chart or using conditional validation (but is similar to manually select the colors).

Is there a way to inform PBI to automatically use the same color palette for both Charts?

Thanks and best regards,

Henrique.

Hi @Anonymous ,
No, Power BI can't automatically detect the elements and decide on same color.
It would be better to manually color common elements/categories in both charts.
For example, Category = chocolates would be brown in both charts while category = Gum can be green in both charts.
