Bar Chart Column Size & Order

Hello,

PowerBI newbie looking for some help.

I'm trying to create a bar chart arranged by size (pareto) with data filter by month but I'm running into some difficulties and hoping the community might be able to point me in the right direction.

First, how do I arrange a bar chart to sort within the visual from largest to smallest?

The second issue I'm running into is the bars on the chart are so small. I've adjusted the column spacing and minumum catagory width but it really didn't change much.

I'll include screen shots of my dashboard below for reference.

And thanks in advance for any guidance provided!

  • One of the first things you will want to learn when using Power BI is how to unpivot your data.  Then you will have a single measure value rather than what you have now. Then the sorting will be easier too.  etc.

Please provide sample data (with sensitive information removed) that covers your issue or question completely, in a usable format (not as a screenshot). Leave out anything not related to the issue.
If you are unsure how to do that please refer to https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Community-Blog/How-to-provide-sample-data-in-the-Power-BI-Forum/ba-p/963216
Please show the expected outcome based on the sample data you provided.
