Age / Gender Population Pyramid with Comparator Marker

Hello,

 

I'm looking for a way to effectly plot two population pyramids on top of each other.

 

I'm looking at employment data from the 2021 UK Census at Local Authority Level, and I want to show the comparison between an ethnic group and the local average across all groups - I'd like the 'all group' data to appear as a simple black line on the pyrimid chart. I'm currently using the Tornado Chart but that only allows one data field.

 

I currently have to separate charts, like this:

 

But I'd effectly like to merge the data together into a single chart, something that looks like this (although this is different data showing a change between years):

 

 

Any thoughts? Is this custom visual territory, I don't seem to be able to find a standard visual that will do multiple data sources like this?

    Hi BINewbie1 ,

     

    you can use the "Population Pyramid" custom visual in Power BI Desktop. This visual is designed to display age distribution across different age bands for males and females, similar to the chart in your image.
