By default, preview items are not shown in Fabric automatically. To enable Cosmos DB in Fabric, in Admin Portal -> Tenant settings, make sure the feature is toggled to “Enabled”.

Hi @andrl ,

Thanks for using Microsoft Fabric Community to post your question.

Just following up to check if, after enabling the suggested settings, you are now able to see the Cosmos DB option when selecting New Item. If not, please feel free to reach out for further assistance.

Thank you.

@andrl, Cosmos DB is currently available in Microsoft Fabric but as a preview feature that requires enabling preview capabilities in your Fabric environment. This is why you might not see Cosmos DB listed as an option when you go to Fabric → Workspaces → New Item.

If you want to use Cosmos DB in Fabric today:

  1. Check if your Fabric tenant has preview features enabled.
  2. Enable preview features if you have admin access.
  3. After enabling, refresh your workspace creation experience, and Cosmos DB should appear as an option.
  4. If you do not have admin rights, request your Fabric tenant administrator to enable preview features.

If this answer solved your problem, please consider accepting it as the solution. It helps the whole community by making it easier for others to find working answers.
