🏆 2026 Power BI Dataviz World Championship ( Winner )
A global analysis of peach production and international trade using FAOSTAT data, covering production volumes, harvested area, yield efficiency, export/import values and trade balance across 79 countries.
Design System Built around a custom design system: a unified set of tokens governing typography, color palette, spacing, border radius, and component behavior. Every button, card, badge, tooltip, and navigation element follows the same visual rules across all four pages.
Original Imagery: All visuals are original. Backgrounds were AI-generated and art-directed to match the warm, earthy color language. Video transitions were authored, animated, rendered and self-hosted. No stock footage, no templates. Crafted from scratch.
Custom Visuals: combined with custom HTML/SVG measures: hero KPI cards with contextual overlays, animated trend charts, waffle charts, and interactive donut breakdowns. Every custom element complements native functionality.
Accessibility: Alt text on all visuals, logical tab order, WCAG-compliant contrast ratios, and guided tutorials on every page.
This project pushed the boundaries of what I thought was possible inside Power BI. Visa complications, a microphone failure live on stage at FabCon, and the constant pressure of the clock... but every constraint sharpened the focus on what mattered most: delivering the best possible experience. Beyond the competition, the real reward is in the craft. I hope you enjoy exploring this dashboard as much as I enjoyed building it.
