Week 4 : Forecast on the World

Climate shapes our world, and its impact on agriculture is key to food security, sustainability and the global economy. This scientific BI fuses data from NOAA, IRI, Tropical Tidbits and SENAMHI with advanced climate intelligence to monitor ENSO, hurricanes, droughts and extreme temperatures, providing accurate weather forecasts with dynamic visualisations and photos generated based on future scenarios.

Globally, it identifies critical patterns and anticipates extreme weather events. In Peru, it focuses on the production areas of La Libertad (Chao, Virú) and Lambayeque, where climate variability challenges agricultural production. By predicting minimum and maximum temperatures, this dashboard allows strategic decisions to be made to minimise impacts and ensure a sustainable future.

Impact and Benefits:
Precision Agriculture: climate prediction to optimise irrigation, fertilisation and harvesting, reducing water and carbon footprint.
Resilient Economy: Reducing losses from extreme weather events, ensuring the stability of the agricultural and export sector.
Food Security and Sustainability: Anticipating climate shocks for sustainable planning, minimising waste and maximising yields.
Energy and Resource Efficiency: Using data to reduce unnecessary water and energy consumption in production.
Global Impact: Key information for investors, insurers and climate response agencies in the fight against climate change.

This BI not only transforms data into strategic decisions, but becomes a driver of sustainability, aligning technology with climate resilience for a greener, more prepared world.
