Week 4 - Earth Health Report Analysis
I appreciate all the feedback in the comment section! I've incorporated several visual features into this dashboard that I'm excited to share, as they're also new approaches for me that I use for the first time.
Flipping Card Functionality: On the second page, I've added a feature that allows users to flip cards to reveal more details in each section.
Year Control Button: This feature enables dynamic visual changes with animations from pages 3 to 5. It works slightly differently on each page: on page 3, the animation progresses year by year, while on page 5, it adds an additional year with each change. This approach provides a clear, year-over-year comparison of trends, which I find particularly effective.
Customized 100% Stacked Column Visual: For the 'Top 10 Countries with Least Population % Exposure to PM 2.5 Pollution' visual, I've used a Deneb customized visual. This is a unique take compared to the standard 100% stacked column visual typically used in Power BI.
CO2 Transportation Footprint Calculator: This feature utilizes numeric parameter functionality. Initially, I noticed discrepancies in value display, which led me to discover a limitation regarding the number of data points when using numeric parameters as slicers. I resolved this by implementing two slicers that together form a six-digit range. Additionally, I found a dataset with emission factors for remote work but didn't have time to integrate it yet.
This dashboard challenge has been a fantastic learning experience for me, and I hope everyone is enjoying exploring the data as much as I have!
Thanks,
Zofia
