Week 3: The Olympics
This report was created to explore how the Olympic Games have evolved over more than 125 years, using open-source Olympic data to uncover patterns in participation, performance, and structure across both the Summer and Winter Games. The dashboard was designed with a storytelling approach, combining clear visuals, interactive filters, and concise narrative text to help a broad audience understand long-term trends and comparisons. Each page focuses on a key aspect of Olympic history, including the scale of the Games, host locations, athlete achievements, medal distribution, and future growth in events. Together, these views provide an accessible and engaging way to examine how athletes, nations, and sports have changed over time, enabling users to identify dominant eras, emerging trends, and meaningful differences between the Summer and Winter Olympics.
