Week 3 - NBA Parity is Back
For week 3's competition, I chose to magnify the emergence of middle-market teams quietly winning championships. With the introduction of the play-in games and the in-season tournament, the NBA has given more reasons for mid-market teams to compete, making dynasties less prevalent. Teams that once struggled to retain star players or attract top-tier talent now have more opportunities to contend, leveling the playing field across the league. This shift has led to an era of greater parity, where smaller-market franchises can make deep playoff runs and even secure championships, disrupting the dominance of traditional powerhouse teams. The NBA’s competitive landscape is now more open than before, offering fans a more unpredictable and exciting postseason.
For the color palette, I mainly stuck to navy blue as a reference to the NBA logo and gold for the championship trophy, symbolizing excellence and achievement. The deep navy represents the league's longstanding tradition and authority, while gold adds a prestigious and triumphant feel to the composition. By combining these colors, I aimed to highlight both the historical significance of the NBA and the fresh competitive spirit that has emerged with these structural changes.
