The Great Migrations - Nature's Ultimate Travelers
For this week’s challenge theme, “Travel,” I delved into the incredible world of animal migration—a natural phenomenon where thousands of species embark on epic annual journeys. I chose to focus on seven remarkable species, each undertaking a unique voyage for survival, breeding, or food.
In my storybook-style Power BI dashboard, you’ll explore:
- The record-breaking flight of the Arctic Tern.
- The nonstop journey of the Bar-tailed Godwit.
- The enduring treks of Caribou, Humpback Whales, Salmon, Monarch Butterflies, and Wildebeest.
Migration is nature’s way of finding better food, safer breeding grounds, or more favorable climates. My dashboard highlights key statistics, environmental challenges, and fascinating insights about these journeys.

The Analysis:
The dashboard features a Home page with a comparative analysis of migration distances and seven dedicated pages—one for each species. Each species page documents its migration path on a map and details the reason for migration, threat level, and temperature changes experienced during their journey.
