Week 1 - Briarport Overview

Building this one‑page report was a balance of clarity, storytelling, and thoughtful design. My goal was to create something that city planners, policy analysts, and community members could read and understand quickly,  even if they’re not used to working with data every day.

I started by exploring the dataset to understand how Briarport performs over time and how it compares with other cities. From there, I shaped the narrative around the four key livability indicators: emissions, transit, green spaces, and housing affordability.

Accessibility was also a priority, especially for audiences who might not be data‑savvy,  so I kept explanations short and placed emphasis on readability and intuitive navigation.

In the end, this report blends data, storytelling, and design into a single visual snapshot of Briarport’s livability. I hope it feels clear, useful, and inspiring for anyone exploring urban data or building Power BI reports of their own.
