Week 1: Atlanta Livability Report

This is my Week 1 Submission. I created this report to tell the story of how Atlanta is doing year by year from 2015 to 2024, compared with a group of major peer cities.

It’s built to feel like a guided walk-through: where Atlanta is strong, where it’s falling behind, and what might move the needle for overall quality of life.

Each page focuses on one piece of the livability puzzle. Livability, Transit, Housing Affordability, Green Space, and Emissions and keeps the layout consistent so it’s easy to read. At the top, quick KPIs show average scores. Then the charts do the talking: a ranking chart shows how Atlanta stacks up against other cities, a trend line shows how things have changed over time, and a scatter plot shows the trade-offs ,for example, how transit or green space tends to line up with livability. The goal is simple, help you quickly spot patterns, understand the why behind the numbers, and leave with a clearer sense of what Atlanta could prioritize next.

Accessibility has been considered throughout the design. Visuals use clear labels, the layout is consistent and easy to scan, and alt text is added to key visuals and controls so the report is usable for a wider range of viewers.
