Intoduction
I’ve always wanted to design my résumé in a more visual and data-driven way, but I never found the right inspiration until this challenge. The theme gave me the perfect opportunity to finally build a résumé that tells my story at a glance.
My goal was simple: highlight my career journey, showcase my transition from Pharmacist → Power BI Developer → Microsoft MVP, and create a clean, compelling way to visualize my professional timeline.
Tools & Approach
I kept the process simple and practical:
Power BI Desktop for modelling and building the full report
PowerPoint to design the background layout
Claude AI to convert my résumé into a structured table for the Gantt visual
Mix of default Power BI visuals + one custom Gantt chart visual
I intentionally used mostly built-in visuals to show what’s possible without relying heavily on external add-ons.

Professional Journey (Gantt Timeline)
The heart of the report is a Gantt chart visualizing my roles from 2017 to 2025.
It clearly shows:
My early years in pharmaceutical sales
My pivot into healthcare analytics
My progression into Power BI development
My current path in BI, logistics, and data platform
I chose the Gantt chart because I realized it doesn’t have to be limited to project management it can be a powerful tool for storytelling, especially career timelines.
Key Projects & Impacts
This section showcases five selected projects across finance, delivery logistics, marketing, healthcare, and product analytics each with a brief highlight of tools and outcomes.
Skills, Certifications & Education
I used clean card layouts and icons to make the tech stack and certifications easy to scan, reinforcing my skills at a glance.
Challenges & Lessons Learned
One challenge was the custom Gantt visual many of its advanced features required a subscription, so I couldn’t fully unlock every option I wanted.
Still, I managed to get the essentials in place, and I’m satisfied with the outcome.
Another learning point was how powerful storytelling becomes when you combine BI tools with personal data. Designing your own résumé forces you to think intentionally about clarity, structure, and impact.
