The Idea
This week, I wanted to challenge both myself and you by creating a story that evolves based on the choices made along the way. While I’m not typically a sports enthusiast, there’s something fascinating about the Olympics—the sheer variety of disciplines and the incredible range of athletic achievements.
I encourage you to explore and experiment with storytelling—perhaps by focusing on your favorite sport.
If you don’t have one, I’d suggest looking into figure skating.
I really hope you enjoy this way of story telling I had a lot of fun creating it.
To make the most of the data, keep in mind that multi-athlete disciplines can have multiple medalists for the same event.

The dataset includes multiple tables covering Olympic Games data from 1896 to 2022. The structure distinguishes between disciplines (e.g., swimming) and specific sporting events within them (e.g., Men's 100m Freestyle).
