1. Opening Statement

I entered this challenge because I wanted to explore how data visualization can transform traditional storytelling. The theme inspired me to view a career as a dataset and Power BI as the canvas to bring that story to life. My goal was to create an interactive resume that not only lists roles and skills but visually demonstrates growth, impact, and continuous learning.

1. What My Report Showcases

• Profile Overview: A concise introduction with contact details and a summary of expertise in program and project management.
• Skills Dashboard(available by clicking on link button besides skills headline): Horizontal bar charts highlighting core competencies such as Program & Portfolio Management, Cloud, Delivery Frameworks, ETL, Data Visualization, and Data Modeling.
• Career Timeline & Roles: A donut chart illustrating role distribution and a chronological view of positions held across organizations.
• Projects & Impact(available by clicking on link button besides work experiance headline): A detailed table listing major projects, descriptions, technologies used, and roles played.

• Built entirely in Power BI Desktop using inbuilt visuals for clarity and accessibility.
• Implemented interactive navigation through bookmarks and slicers for a seamless user experience.
• Built custom layouts and backgrounds for a poilished and modern look.
• Structured the layout to balance storytelling with data visualization, ensuring readability and engagement.
• Technologies used - PowerBi, DAX, MS Excel

1. Challenges and Lessons Learned

• What was tricky or unexpected?
  Designing a resume in Power BI required rethinking the structure of traditional CV data. One challenge was organizing diverse elements - skills, certifications, projects, and timelines - into a cohesive, visually appealing layout without overwhelming the user.
• How did I solve it?
  I used bookmarks and slicers to create intuitive navigation, ensuring each section felt like a dedicated page. Standard Power BI visuals were leveraged creatively to maintain simplicity while still delivering interactivity.
• What would I improve next time?
  I would incorporate trends (e.g., skill growth over time) and add conditional formatting for certifications etc.

This challenge allowed me to reimagine s resume as a data story - leveraging Power BI to present skills, achievements, and career progression in a way that is both insightful and interactive. It’s not just a resume; it’s a visual narrative of growth and impact.
