BCN Week1 - Pitchside Pro: Revenue Drivers & Growth Strategy

The report is designed as a structured journey from overview to details and then summarizing all with recommendations. Each insight is therefore framed with a clear connection between data and decision-making, ensuring that the findings are not only informative, but also practical and executable.

From a technical perspective, the approach is intentionally grounded. After seeing many advanced (AI generated) HTML- and SVG-based reports, I chose to focus on the PowerBI's fundamentals. The entire solution is built using only Power BI’s native visuals and features, emphasizing clarity and intuitive use experience, and showcasing what can be achieved with only the basic features.

The whole design follows a minimalistic and structured style, with consistent layout, clear visual hierarchy, and dynamic elements that enhance usability without adding complexity. Interactivity is used purposefully to guide exploration rather than overwhelming user at first sight

Report starts with simple overview page

As default Filters are hidden to maintain clean visual image, but by opening filter panel, metrics and filters can be changed to your preferences. I also added reference metrics with field parameters, so you can add multiple measurements and the previous year comparison numbers. Metrics are also color coded to match the static scorecards on the right hand side. The three visuals below include a view detail button which can be used to deepdive into the detail pages.

After the three detail pages that focus on finding out what drives the traffic and sales, I included a summary page that includes pre processed highlight findings from the data. This page gives some direct steps what should be considered when setting up the strategic priorities for the future:

Accessibility was treated as a core requirement throughout the report. This includes clear typography, structured tab order, color usage, descriptive alt text, and intuitive navigation, ensuring the report can be effectively used in different contexts and by different users.

Ultimately, the aim was to create a report that balances simplicity and depth combining clean design, strong storytelling, and actionable insights to support better decision-making.

There was still some minor details I would have like to add such as date annotations for events and product launches, but simply run out of time as I had to focus on dayjob, but I'm still happy what I managed to create with the time I had.
