Amrit's Interactive CV

Introduction
For this year’s Power BI Data Pro contest, I created an interactive resume that showcases my professional journey, technical expertise, and personal interests through a clean, intuitive, and fully navigable dashboard. My goal was to transform a traditional CV into an engaging, user-driven experience that reflects both my analytical background and my creative approach to data storytelling.

I built the report using Power BI, leveraging buttons, custom navigation layouts, and a soft pastel color palette to create a visually calm yet informative interface. Each section is designed as a tile that leads to a dedicated page, allowing users to explore my journey, skills, projects, and interests at their own pace. I combined DAX, shape layering, and thoughtful layout planning to ensure accessibility, clarity, and a consistent user experience.

Layout
The landing page acts as the central navigation hub, featuring my introduction, photo, and four interactive tiles: My Journey, Skills, Personal Projects, Interests, and Contact Me. A subtle instruction in the center guides users to explore each section.

Challenges

One of the key challenges was balancing aesthetics with accessibility—ensuring that the dashboard remained visually appealing while also being intuitive and screen-reader friendly. 

Lesson Learned
The project reinforced how Power BI can be a powerful storytelling tool—not just for business data, but for personal narratives as well. It showed my personal journey in a clear and intuitive manner.
