"Signatures" in posts

50-70% of replies here contain signatures that are bloated and contain third-party links (essentially advertisements). A typical "signature" of such sort takes 30-70% of the reply's screen space.

The forum engine is already outdated and ineffective (illogical post structure and sorting, too much spacing). Adding walls-of-text signatures only makes it worse.

This makes reading super inefficient.

Can't moderators and forum users just handle this issue in an organized way?
