I made this post and didn't get answers that solved my specific situation.
Solved: Re: Dataflow Incremental Refresh Causing Duplicate... - Microsoft Fabric Community
Today when I log in I see I have a notification that the user MadhaviT accepted a solution on my post.
Why is one CST member allowed to mark another CST member's post a solution? That seems like a conflict of interest.
Also, why is someone other than the original author of the post allowed to mark a solution? The author of the post has the problem, they should be the ones to mark something as a solution.
Hello @Thorns,
Thank you for reaching out. CST is there to help provide solutions. They don't mark their own response as a solution, so if a viable solution is offered it could get marked by another CST member. We appreciate you checking back on your post to see if there was a solution, but that doesn't always happen. So after an appropriate amount of time, a CST member may mark an answer as a solution.
I hope this helps.
Best,
Natalie H.

That's completly ridiculous because now that post has two solutions marked on it, but neither actually resolve the issue that I was facing. This is a fundamental issue if this is allowed and now there is disinformation because a solution is marked when it doesn't actually resolve my issue.
This needs to be fixed. Only the author of the post needs to be allowed to mark something as a solution.
Hello @Thorns,
Thank you for your feedback. I have passed it along to the appropriate team members.
