RSS for New Power BI Blog

Hi Guys,

sorry, but I can not find a RSS feed for the new Power BI blog. Any idea how to solve that?

If you are talking about the community blog:

http://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/bg-p/community_blog

Right under the gray area "Welcome to the Power BI Community Blog" over on the left you should see "Blog Options". Click that and then "Subscribe to RSS Feed". It's easy to miss.

Or, just go here:

http://community.powerbi.com/oxcrx34285/rss/board?board.id=community_blog

And hit subscribe.

Thanks again for your great tips, smoupre, but they need to put the RSS symbol like on other Microsoft sites.

Also, I did have to edit the title to fit it into Outlook.

@Greg_Deckler any idea how to subscribe to RSS feed for https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/?

@jaroreken - Well now, that's kind of tricky. What I found is that you can click on an article, scroll down to the Comments area. At the top of Comments, there is a link for "The Power BI Blog". Click that and a right-hand pane opened up in IE and at the top was a "Follow" button. When you click it it takes you to a Disqus login. Once logged in and on the blog and following, there is are some verticla ellipses (that's a new one) next to the topic header. You can clicked those and "Subscribe to discussion".

At least they made it easy and intuitive...sheesh!

@Greg_Deckler Does this subscribe to the whole blog or just to the article comments?

Update: I do not see any elipses next to article header, nor in the blog or disqus page. I tried in IE, Edge and FF. Could you please share a screenshot where you see it?

Ah, looks like that is just that particular discussion. I did follow the Power BI discussion as a whole by going here:

https://disqus.com/home/forum/thepowerbiblog/

And clicking "Follow" at the top, but I think that only puts it on your home page, not emails you or anything like that. Really a bit frustrating. Not sure if setting yourself up for email might get you what you want:

Here's the "vertical ellipses" I was referring to:

@Greg_DecklerThanks for the screenshot. I had to first set up my disqus account with three channels and then I got to the window on your screenshot. Anyway I used the "Subscribe to discussion" so let's see if I get any news. 🙂 But I agree with @residentx, there should be an RSS symbol pointing to appropriate RSS feed link.

IMHO, the whole disqus this is a 'defect support system'. It WAS working just fine for the longest time. By 'it' I mean RSS feeds directly into my email RSS folder from the Power BI Blog. Then it stopped working some time after 2/2/2016. Now I have to sign up for yet another SaaS provider and go through all these hoops to get BACK something that WAS working. They have taken the 'SIMPLE' our of "Really Simple Syndication"!

There is a feedback item on User Voice regarding this very issue. Not many votes, but WE can change that. Log in to Feedback and go to this item:

You can subscribe to the RSS feed here:

https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/feed/

I can't get RSS Outlook to pull this feed...https://disqus.com/home/forum/thepowerbiblog/

Yeah, thus far I can't really say that I am a fan of Disqus at the moment, it seems really kind of feature poor and a pretty awful UI. Not sure why it seems to be becoming more popular. Maybe they pay people to use it? For example, I couldn't find any kind of search feature in terms of forums so no clue how you would even find the Power BI blog if you didn't have the limit already. And what is different about a community, a forum and a blog I have no idea but it seems to have all of them. Not impressed.
