Issue with Date Recognition in Power BI (Planner Export to Excel)

Good day, Microsoft Power Community,

I hope you can provide some clarity on an issue I'm facing in Power BI.

I am building a Power BI report using data sourced from Excel spreadsheets. The data comes from Microsoft Planner, which I export to Excel and store in a folder. Power BI then references this folder to retrieve and process the data.

However, I am encountering a problem where the Start Date, Due Date, and Completed by Date fields are not being recognized as valid dates in Power BI. Despite manually formatting the columns in Excel—including using built-in and custom date formats—the issue persists.

This is preventing me from creating necessary DAX formulas, such as calculating the number of days late.

The issue is that Power BI is either returning 0 or an error, likely because it is failing to recognize the values as dates.

What I’ve Tried:

-Manually formatting the date columns in Excel.

-Using custom date formats.

-Ensuring the data type is set to Date in Power BI.

Assistance Needed:

-Is there a way to properly convert or clean the exported Planner date fields so Power BI recognizes them as actual dates?

-Has anyone else experienced this issue with Planner exports, and how did you resolve it?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance.
