How Do I Stop Any Notifications About Badges?

I've turned off notifications by email but I just want to remove everything everywhere to do with badges. It's infuriating to think someone has replied to question and solved this massive problem that's holding up my project but no, I've earned another meaningless bloody badge haha.

Hello @cw900,

To ensure that your email notifications are turned off:

1. Click your avatar in the top right hand corner of the page. 

2. Choose "My subscriptions". 

3. Click on the Subscriptions & Notifications tab.

4. Click Notification Settings.

5. Check the "Turn off all email notifications" box.

My question is how do I turn this stuff off? I can't imagine anybody actually finds this useful. I realise it's probably a trick to get users to stay on the site longer but it just makes me want to go to Reddit and try and get help there.
