Display name vs UserID

Hi team,   I would like to use a display name which is different from my user id. Is that something possible? I feel my userid identifies me so i would like to use a different display name for ques...

Thanks for the info and I did submit the form. 

 

Was wondering instead of changing the user id is there a way when someone posts it shows a Display name of their preference and not their user id? Microsoft Q and A site does not show my actual user id when a thread is answered or posted but shows only my display name. 

 

Quick question. When i visit my profile

has Public Stats Name.
