Clarification on Scheduling DP-600 and DP-700 Exams

Hello,

I had previously submitted a request to schedule the DP-700 exam, but I wanted to know:

1. Is it still possible to schedule the DP-600 exam instead?

2. Can I schedule and take both DP-700 and DP-600 exams using the same voucher program?

Are there any restrictions I should be aware of when switching or taking both exams?

Yes, you can use the voucher on the DP-600.  Please go ahead and schedule to take the exam in January.

Yes. As of early 2026, the DP-600 (Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate) is active and available. While there was some confusion during the initial rollout of the DP-700, the DP-600 remains a core certification for those focusing on the "analytics" side (Power BI, DAX, and semantic models). 

Can I use the same voucher for both?

Ans : This depends on the Voucher Terms:

• Most Common Programs: Many recent Microsoft Fabric community initiatives (like "Fabric Data Days" or specific "Cloud Skills Challenges") provide a single voucher that is valid for either the DP-600 or the DP-700.

• Single Use: Typically, a single voucher code can only be redeemed once. If you use it to schedule the DP-700, that specific code is spent.

• Switching: If you have already scheduled the DP-700 but want to switch to the DP-600, you usually need to cancel the DP-700 appointment first. If the voucher is still valid and has not expired, it should be released back to you to use for the DP-600.
