Calling all Power BI fans and social change enthusiasts! Want to share your Power BI skills with community members and present data that will inspire change? Here’s your chance! Grab some data that is meaningful to you, use Power BI to bring the data to life, show us how you put everything together in a video, or submit your data report. We’ll randomly pick three t-shirt winners from the entries. But wait, there’s more! Videos and data reports with the most kudos and comments will be in the pool of submissions that may also be featured in the community blog in August. All entries must be submitted by July 20th.
Data analysis is making a real difference today. With Power BI you can analyze data to understand patterns or behaviors. Just think of what happens when data can be used to analyze issues and improve the quality of life for millions. Your challenge will be to use publicly available data and Power BI to spot patterns and show insights, similar to what the authors of Bringing government data to life with Power BI did.
What change should you represent in data? Pick an actual set of data to represent what is meaningful to you. It could be data from your community, data about your country, or data about a global challenge. Need some inspiration? Look on the Empowering Every Person Global Challenges page and see how they used data to create visuals to inspire change.
