Alerts on Realtime dashborad using activator

Hi Everyone, 
I have built a realtime dashboard using Azure log analytics data by connecting directly to my log analytics workspace from fabric realtime dashboards.

Now as part of alerting mechanism i setup alerts using activator from dashboard but even the thresholds are met iam not getting any emails.

Can anyone help me on how to configure the alerts in this scenario

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft fabric community forum.

In Fabric real-time dashboards, Activator will send an email only if you've set a threshold condition and added a Notification Action in the rule designer. Please check your Activator rule to make sure it is enabled, the Email channel and recipients are selected under Actions, and that the rule has been saved and deployed.

After you add the Email notification action and redeploy, the alerts should begin sending when your KPI thresholds are exceeded. If you still do not receive any emails, please provide the rule frequency, a screenshot of the Action tab, and any error messages you encounter.

Can you give us some more details? 

Can you show us screenshots of the altert setup in Activator? And a screenshot of the dashboard?

Below are the steps iam following:

Query:

AzureMetrics

| where TimeGenerated between (_startTime .. _endTime)

| where Resource in (_iothub)

| where MetricName in ("totalDeviceCount","connectedDeviceCount")

| summarize maxVal = max(Maximum) by Resource, bin(TimeGenerated, 1m), MetricName

| evaluate pivot(MetricName, any(maxVal), TimeGenerated, Resource)

| extend totalDeviceCount = todouble(totalDeviceCount),

         connectedDeviceCount = todouble(connectedDeviceCount)

| extend disconnectedDeviceCount = iff(totalDeviceCount >= connectedDeviceCount,

                                       totalDeviceCount - connectedDeviceCount, 0.0)

| project TimeGenerated, Resource, totalDeviceCount, connectedDeviceCount, disconnectedDeviceCount

| order by TimeGenerated desc

 

The activator is not monitoring the values and alerts are not getting triggered.
