Dataflows web connection error

Hello

When am trying to connect to a web page in dataflows, i am getting an error

what is it? any tips? am not able to configure gateway, why gateway is required if am getting data from web ?

How to solve this issue? any body encountered something like that

Can you connect to that web page from Power BI Desktop?

Hello

Yes, from power bi desktop or power query i am able to connect

What i am actually doing is this, i have a file on one drive for business, then am getting new data from the website , then appending new data from website to my one drive file

So what i want is that this process is done in a dataflow, but unfortunately dataflow is not connecting to the website

In pbi desktop or in excel its working perfectly

Hi ,no it is not on premise

it is a public website on the internet LBP Rate

am using web-api which doesnt require gateway, also the data is online not on my pc, why it should need a gateway?

"online" and "online" are two separate things. You need a gateway if the Azure service cannot directly see your data source. For example a website on the company intranet requires a gateway.

You also need a gateway for an online/cloud source if you are combining/merging it with an on-premise data source in Power Query (hint: Don't ever do that).
