Merged queries return multiples rows

Hi,

I have issues with a dataset I am working on. I replaced the look up function I would use in Excel by merging two tables, but the rows get duplicated and it gets impossible to load. I tried filtering out the dataset for clarity sake and tested out all of the join possibilities. None of them works 😞

Looking at the advanced editor with the latest attempt I see this line of code:

#"Merged Queries1" = Table.NestedJoin(#"Filtered Rows1", {"Art der Förderung"}, Preisliste, {"Type of Subsidy"}, "Preisliste", JoinKind.LeftOuter)

I am stumped as to what I can do to fix this. Is there any other feature in PBI besides Merge which can be used to replace look ups? Or anyway I can automatically remove all duplicated rows in the next step?

Hi Berl21 ,
You can remove duplicates by right-clicking on the column name and then clicking on remove duplicates.
Please check if it helps.
If this doesn't solve your issue, can you please attach a sample your both tables you are trying to join/merge? That would be really helpful for everyone here to solve the issue.

Hello,

You may create a table containing unique values (Art der Förderung)

By creating a unique ID (Merge columns or other)

Then your left join should work perfectly.
