How to maintain Visual Layer Order

Hi Folks,

I am really enjoying the new field parameters feature! I do have one problem:

If the end user clicks the + Button, then everything is fine.
If the end user clicks the down arrow, then the catagories visual is hidden.
How can i always show the catagory paramater even if the visual under it is selected?

I did try using "Maintain Layer Order" on both visuals. But that didnt work....

IT would appear that this is only an issue in power bi desktop. In the service, it doesnt hide the catagory box when drilling down. So everything is good after all!

Glad it works in Service. I think the reason why the visual behave differently in Desktop and Service may be that Desktop is mainly used to create reports. When we say visual layer order, we often mean the layer order when the visuals are not selected.

It's always an "opposites" game to play with Power BI. Choose to maintain layer order for the table/matrix (it can't hurt to the do the same for the 'Select Categories' slicer. In the Selection pane, make sure the slicer is above the matrix. Viola.
