Power BI > Sap Gui integration

Hello, I see there is alot of databases available including SAP Hana and Sap BW but we at the company use Sap GUI Anyone know a way to connect to this? If not, does anyone know an automated workaround such as Power Automate ways.

Maybe you can use power automate to extract data from SAP GUI, then import data to power bi, power BI cannot connect to SAP GUI directly.please refer to the following link:

Thanks, I used a different method due to my company having a datalake where the data i needed was stored. But im sure this would of worked aswell. Sadly i do not have access to power automate yet.

If PowerBI needs to fetch data directly from SAP (say reports, queries, tables, views CDS etc) then the USB4SAP connector for PowerBI will be useful: Ecoservity – Ecosystem. Services. Technology

Hello Anonymous , for extracting SAP data to datalake you may use the ADF plug-in for SAP. It allows extraction of SAP reports / other modelled information as well as, tables extraction (with Change Data Capture). More info is here

Power BI does not need to connect to or automate SAP GUI to analyze SAP business data. If your backend is SAP S/4HANA and the required data is available through supported OData services, you can connect at the application/API level instead of working with SAP GUI or accessing the HANA database directly.
