Hi Anonymous</LI-USER>

According to the error message, the database on your "XXX.database.windows.net" appears to be currently unavailable.

You can try the following to troubleshoot this problem:

Ensure that the database is online and accessible. You can try connecting to it using SQL Server Management Studio or another SQL client to verify its status.

Sometimes, the issue might be temporary. Wait for a few minutes and then try reconnecting.

Verify if there are any scheduled maintenance activities or outages affecting the database server. You can check the Azure status page or your organization’s maintenance schedule.

Double-check the configuration settings in your DataFlow Gen2 and ensure that all connection strings, credentials, and other settings are correct.

My dataflow started receiving this connection error on the destination side from Lakehouse. The strange thing is that when I go into table preview in Lakehouse, I don't have any issues viewing the data. I checked the DataFlow Gen 2 config, and the staging is disabled. I checked the PBI reports using this Lakehouse table, and there are no issues pulling the data into the reports. When I go into power query preview view in Dataflow Gen 2 I receive the same error. It seems only to be happening with the DataFlow Gen2. Any suggestions to resolve this would be much appreciated. We're currently in the dev stage and looking to go prod in a week; this is very concerning.

Error:

error code: mashup exception data source error, error details: couldn't refresh the entity because of an issue with the mashup document mashupexception.error: microsoft sql: database 'XXX' on server 'XXX.database.windows.net' is not currently available. please retry the connection later. if the problem persists, contact customer support, and provide them the session tracing id of '{XXX}'. details: reason = datasource.error;datasourcekind = lakehouse;datasourcepath = lakehouse;datasourcekind.2 = sql;datasourcepath.2 = XXX.datawarehouse.fabric.microsoft.com;lakehouse2;message = database 'XXX' on server 'XXX.database.windows.net' is not currently available. please retry the connection later. if the problem persists, contact customer support, and provide them the session tracing id of '{XXX}'.;errorcode = -XXX;number = XXX;class = XX;state = X;microsoft.data.mashup.error.context = user gatewayobjectid: XXX (request id: XXX).
