Fabric Warehouse to CRM

We use Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and have the data in warehouse in Fabric. The Customer ID is a guid and we are attempting to insert the guid into the Customer field of the Sales Invoice form/entity, but the target field in the entity (Sales Invoice Header) in CRM is of lookup type!

Has anyone had this experience?
