I have an on-prem SQL Server on Server A, and i will connect to that SQL server from Power BI for reporting then publishing it to Service. You can install it on Server A (SQL Server) for lower latency, but this may affect performance if the SQL Server is heavily used. This setup helps distribute workloads and ensures that Server A isn’t impacted.
