I created a reflex and set the conditions. However, the alert does not trigger automatically when the conditions are met; only the test action works fine. Why are the alerts not being triggered automatically?"

these could be potential issues why your Data Activator alerts are not triggering automatically, even though the test action is working:

Data Refresh Frequency: Data Activator may not be detecting changes in real-time. It typically checks for updates every 5 minutes at the fastest. If your data source isn’t refreshing frequently enough, the alerts may not trigger as expected.
2. Direct Lake Dataset Issue: If you’re using a Direct Lake dataset, there’s a known bug where Data Activator doesn’t notice changes unless you manually refresh the dataset. This is a current limitation that Microsoft is working to fix.
3. Threshold Configuration: Ensure that your alert conditions are correctly set. For example, if you’re using a “becomes greater than” condition, it will only trigger when the value crosses the threshold from below, not if it’s consistently above the threshold.

To troubleshoot:
1. Verify that your data source is refreshing as expected.
2. If using Direct Lake, try manually refreshing the dataset.
3. Double-check your alert conditions and thresholds.
4. Ensure you have the necessary permissions and capacity.
5. Monitor the Data Activator logs for any error messages.

The issues still persist. There was a lot promise mentioned at the Fabric Conference 2025 in Vegas related to real time/streams/activator.

I have a similar situation as mentioned above.

I created an eventstream based on a onelake event. I look for a .json file in the Files section of my lake house. The image belows show the evenstream is picking up the CreateFile change.

The Activation detail also confirms that the Rule should fire off the Action(run Pipeline Fabric Item). See screenshot below.

However, the Pipeline never runs. It only runs when I click the "Test Action". My capacity is running in the East US region.

So at the moment this functionality is not working!!!
