Reflex/alert Question

Hello everyone! Nice to meet you once again. I have a specific need that I don't know if it can be solved with Data Activator.
I have a lakehouse where I store my tables already cleaned and transformed. I need to know if I can create alerts when a field in one of the columns of my tables is returned blank by adding a condition on another column.

How could I achieve this?

Hi gracielatriv ,

Creating alerts directly from tables in Lakehouse is not supported.

You need to create a KQL database, then create a shortcut to that Lakehouse in the KQL database, then create a real-time dashboard with the KQL database you just created selected as the data source for that dashboard, and then create Data Activator alerts from the real-time dashboard.

Thank you very much for your answer, it has helped me a lot! I have another question, what type of condition should I apply to monitor blank fields in a column from Data Activator? Do I need to apply it to a specific visual object first and then select one of these options?

is it possible to create custom conditions?

The types of conditions are divided into the following categories, which you can choose according to your needs.

Detection conditions in Data Activator - Microsoft Fabric | Microsoft Learn

There are no specific requirements for visual objects on the real-time dashboard, but the following requirements need to be met.

Data Activator limitations - Microsoft Fabric | Microsoft Learn

Through my testing, [Value] cannot be null, so you can replace null with space in the table and use it as the value of the condition.

Thank you very much for your reply, that was all I needed to know. In conclusion, don't we have a tool in Power BI that can monitor the data audit, with the aim of identifying data that may appear blank or meaningless, such as duplicates in a dimension table?

Data Activator is a good choice if you want to monitor and set up alerts. If you want to clean incorrect, unexpected data, then Power Query is a good choice.
