Data Warehouse Metadata Sync Issue

We are experiencing multiple issues in Fabric Data Warehouse related to UI consistency and metadata visibility:

1. Views Not Visible in UI

When we create views in the warehouse, they are not visible in the Fabric UI under Schemas → Views.
However, the same views are accessible and queryable, confirming that they are created successfully.

2. Delay in Reflecting Table Changes

When we add or drop columns in a table, the changes are not immediately reflected in the UI.
In some cases, it takes 1–2 days for the updates to appear.

3. Metadata/UI Synchronization Issue

There appears to be a significant delay or inconsistency between backend metadata and UI rendering.
This is causing confusion during development, validation, and downstream activities.

Questions:

Is this a known limitation or a bug in Fabric Data Warehouse?
Are there any recommended workarounds or methods to force a metadata/UI refresh?

Hi Parthiban006,

Are you experiencing this in Warehouses, or in Lakehouses?
Lakehouses do have a metadata sync that needs to occur before the SQL Endpoint is updated, which is what the answer Lodha_Jaydeep linked is talking about.

Hi Parthiban006 to make sense what is going on, from an architecture perspective:

Fabric has a central metadata platform with multiple workloads sharing that metadata. Hence there is no guarantee that UI reflects changes in real time.

I typically escalate to Microsoft when:

Views never appear after multiple days
UI shows incorrect schema vs query output
Downstream tools are impacted (not just UI)

Otherwise, we treat this UI sync behaviour as expected "eventual consistency". What we consider the source of truth is the SQL, not the portal.
