Can we create indexs for temp table in Fabric?

Is it possible to create indexes in temp table for warehouse, I could not find any blogs regarding this, and seems we are not able to create temp table as its running in infinite loop and not giving output, we have F16 Capacity, looking for ways so that this can be optimized.

Currently, explicit indexing on temporary tables is not supported in Microsoft Fabric Warehouse in the same way as permanent tables. Fabric Warehouse utilizes distributed columnar storage formats and automatic optimizations, which eliminates the need for manual index creation on temporary tables.

While temporary tables are supported within the Fabric Warehouse environment, there are certain limitations regarding indexing and performance tuning. Temporary tables in Fabric are typically session-scoped and are created using CTAS (Create Table As Select) statements, which allows you to create transient tables during query execution for intermediate data processing.

As of now there is no official update or announced timeline for support of explicit indexing on temporary tables in Microsoft Fabric Warehouse. Microsoft is continuously working to improve Fabric’s features in response to customer feedback and evolving data platform requirements.
