Salesforce Connector in Fabric - How to connect using a custom user/password

Hello,

I am very new to Fabric and I am trying to ingest some Salesforce data into OneLake. When I setup the Connection for the Salesforce objects I don't see an option where I can supply an Username and Password. The SignIn button is automatically trying to sign me in with my Username and it fails because my credentials don't exist in our Salesforce database. We have been given a service username (and password) by our Salesforce admin.

What's the right way to set this Salesforce connection so that we can use a generic/common username/password.

Connecting Salesforce to Microsoft Fabric using a username/password with a service account is not directly supported by the native Salesforce connector, which primarily relies on OAuth 2.0 for secure authentication

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.
As highlighted by @nilendraFabric, the documentation in the image confirms that the Salesforce Objects connector in Microsoft Fabric supports only Organizational Account authentication for both Copy and Dataflow Gen2.
This aligns with the statement that OAuth 2.0 is the only available authentication method, and manually entering a custom username and password is not supported.
